Cognac Property Services was established in 2003 when Graham Downie moved to France.

Graham had previously spent 20 years in the property industry with Savills and Chesterton, two of the UK's leading surveying practices.

Graham has a regular column in "French" magazine and is often quoted in the national and trade press. You may have seen him comment recently in The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and The London Standard. His blog "A little drop of Cognac" won the 2009 Primelocation property blog of the year award and in 2010 was shortlisted for three awards.

Cognac Property Services are fully licenced and registered (Carte Professionelle TP 125) with a financial guarantee issued by Lloyds of London and civile professionelle insurance issued by Generali Assurances in Paris.

Graham and family now live and work in Jarnac, the home of Courvoisier and birthplace of Francois Mitterand.

His two young daughters are happily ensconced in the local school and he thoroughly recommends the move to anyone thinking about doing something similar!
